Teaching by Demonstration - Active, sensitive motion guidance, programming, replication
This application is a classic example of successful direct collaboration between humans and robots. Here, visitors to the trade fair can actively experience what it means to enter into direct collaboration with the LBR iiwa. During manually guided teaching by demonstration, the user grips the robot and can guide it intuitively along the desired path without the need for any specialized knowledge. In compliance mode, the visitor to the trade fair can thus actively teach the desired path. This is the simplest way to program a robot. The robot then replicates the taught path. This makes for cost-effective automation solutions in the programming of continuous-path tasks – such as applying an adhesive bead – even with very small batch sizes.
